Position Overview The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and operational data to support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and strategic decision-making. This role leverages strong SQL skills for data manipulation, works closely with cross-functional teams, and ensures financial data accuracy for reporting and process improvement. Data Extraction & Analysis Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple systems Conduct detailed analysis of financial datasets to identify trends, variances, and cost drivers Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Mode) Cost Tracking & Financial Modeling Apply financial and accounting principles to analyze costs, margins, revenue, spend patterns, and budget performance Develop cost allocation models, forecasting templates, and analytical frameworks to support cost optimization 2?5 years of experience in financial analytics, FP&A, business intelligence, or data analysis Support month-end close activities by providing data-driven insights and variance analysis Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with cross functional teams to understand business needs and align reporting structures Collaborate to refine templates, standardize financial reports, and enhance cost tracking methodologies Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data extraction and reporting enhancements Present insights to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and data-driven manner Reporting & Visualization Create dashboards, financial reports, and KPI scorecards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for management insights Support leadership with ad-hoc analysis to inform strategic decisions Maintain documentation for SQL logic, data models, and reporting processes Required Qualifications Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, Economics, or related field Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions, ETL logic, performance optimization) Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles (costing, accruals, general ledger, budgeting) Experience working with large datasets and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling) Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams Company Benefits In Office Perks Experience our comprehensive office perks, including daily meals and transport facility for commuting to and from the office, available for all employees coming to the office.
