Finance Controller / Finance Operations Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Controller / Finance Operations Manager to take ownership of the finance operations function of a fast-growing hospitality business.


This is a high accountability role responsible for ensuring that finance operations run with clarity, structure, accuracy, and discipline.


The systems, SOPs, dashboards, and workflows will already be established during the setup phase. Your role will be to own execution, manage the finance operations team, ensure reporting accuracy, maintain cashflow discipline, improve operational efficiency, and ensure finance processes are followed consistently.


This is not a pure accounting role.

Core Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the company’s 12-week rolling cashflow

• Weekly cashflow updates and payment planning

• Ensure no missed payments or cheques

• Own monthly MIS reporting (P&L, BS, Cashflow)

• Ensure reports are delivered within first 3–5 days of the month

• Manage revenue reconciliation and identify leakage

• Oversee accounts payable and payment operations

• Ensure owner statements are accurate and timely

• Manage and guide junior finance team members

• Improve workflows, controls, and automation

Systems & Tools

• QBO

• Excel

• Microsoft Teams

• Alaan

• Internal systems and dashboards


Strong Excel skills are mandatory.

• Strong finance operations experience

• Highly organized and process-oriented

Experience & Education

Mandatory:

• 4–7 years experience in finance operations, accounting operations, cashflow management, MIS reporting, or financial controls

• Experience managing operational finance processes in fast-moving businesses

• Strong experience with cashflow planning, reconciliations, and reporting operations


Strong preference for:

• Startup experience

• Hospitality or multi-entity business exposure

• High transaction volume operations experience

• Experience improving finance processes and controls


Bonus:

• Process automation exposure

• SOP implementation experience

• Team management experience


Preferred but not mandatory:

• B.Com / M.Com / Finance degree

• CA Inter / CMA Inter

• MBA Finance


Strong operational capability, ownership mindset, and execution ability are more important than formal qualifications.
