Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong accounting and finance domain expertise to support a Core Banking Transformation program, working closely with the CFO Office and Finance teams.

The role will focus on General Ledger (GL), financial accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting requirements as part of the core banking upgrade.

The candidate will act as a bridge between Finance, Technology, and the Core Banking implementation teams, ensuring that accounting requirements are accurately captured, documented, and implemented.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CFO office, Finance Controllers, and Accounting teams to gather and document business requirements related to General Ledger and financial accounting.
  • Analyze the impact of the core banking upgrade on finance processes, including:
  • GL postings
  • accounting entries
  • reconciliation processes
  • financial reporting
  • Define functional requirements, BRDs, and process documentation for finance-related modules.
  • Ensure accurate mapping of accounting entries from core banking modules to the GL.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and core banking vendors to translate finance requirements into system configurations.
  • Support finance UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate accounting outputs.
  • Work on chart of accounts alignment, accounting rules, and posting logic.
  • Identify gaps in financial controls, reconciliation, and reporting during the transformation.
  • Ensure compliance with banking accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops between Finance, Technology, and implementation partners.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of banking finance and accounting processes.
  • Deep knowledge of:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • financial postings
  • reconciliation
  • chart of accounts
  • accounting rules in core banking systems
  • Experience working with CFO office / finance transformation programs.
  • Experience in core banking transformation or upgrade programs.
  • Strong experience in BRD, FRD, and functional documentation.
  • Experience supporting UAT and finance validation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.


Preferred Experience

  • Understanding of banking financial reporting and regulatory reporting
