Barosi is an authentic food brand celebrating Bharat through traditional products such as ghee, honey, oils, and pickles. We are building a fast-growing direct-to-consumer business and are looking for a Finance Leader who can drive measurable growth across digital channels.

Role Purpose

The Finance Leader will be responsible for leading the company's finance function, driving financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, compliance, and business performance. The role focuses on strengthening financial controls, optimizing profitability, providing strategic insights, and enabling sustainable growth through data-driven decision-making.

• Lead the overall finance function, including financial planning, accounting, treasury, taxation, and compliance.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections while monitoring business performance against plans.
• Build financial models to support business decisions, pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and profitability analysis.
• Establish and strengthen financial controls, policies, and governance across the organization.
• Ensure timely closure of books and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory from a financial perspective.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining financial discipline across functions.
• Partner with business teams to evaluate margins, channel profitability, and operational performance.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.
• Implement and improve finance systems, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for real-time decision-making.
• Lead and mentor the finance team while fostering a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related field.
• CA, CMA, preferred.
• Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Hands-on experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Sound knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and financial regulations.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with the ability to translate numbers into business insights.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, Advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing finance teams or cross-functional initiatives.
• High level of ownership, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Experience in FMCG, consumer brands, or D2C startups is a must-have.
