Role Overview


The Field Officer will be responsible for supporting the on-ground implementation, monitoring, and community engagement of project activities focused on early childhood development, maternal and child nutrition, and community awareness.


The position will involve regular field visits, coordination with Anganwadi Centres, caregivers, parents, and local government systems, and ensuring the smooth functioning of program activities at the centre and community levels.


The Field Officer will work closely with the Project Officer and field teams to strengthen service delivery, community participation, and documentation of project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


Program Implementation

  • Support the day-to-day implementation of project activities at the designated centres.
  • Facilitate activities related to Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and child development.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of centres through regular coordination with caregivers and field staff.


Field Monitoring & Support

  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor centre operations and program delivery.
  • Identify operational challenges and provide timely feedback to the Project Officer.
  • Ensure adherence to project guidelines and quality standards.


Community Engagement

  •  Engage with parents, caregivers, and community members to promote awareness on child development, nutrition, and early childhood care.
  •  Mobilize community participation in project activities and awareness initiatives.
  • Support the organization of parent meetings, community events, and awareness sessions.


Government & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with ICDS, WCD departments, and Anganwadi Centres for effective implementation of activities.
  • Build positive relationships with frontline workers and local stakeholders.


Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain field-level records, beneficiary data, and activity documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regular field reports, monitoring updates, and progress documentation.
  • Support data collection for program monitoring and evaluation.


Event & Activity Support

  • Assist in organizing health camps, nutrition awareness sessions, parent meetings, and community outreach activities.


Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW), Rural Development Management, or a related field.


Required Skills & Expertise

  • Experience working with ICDS, WCD departments, or Anganwadi systems.
  • Knowledge of maternal and child nutrition programs.
  •  Understanding of early childhood development (ECD) and community-based interventions.
  • Experience working on nutrition-related projects will be an added advantage.


Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of field experience in community-based development programs.


Additional Preference

  • Candidates based in Gurugram or nearby areas will be preferred.
  • Familiarity with local communities and government systems will be an advantage.
