Key Responsibilities

Core Compliance Responsibilities (50% of time): - Lead FATCA/CRS compliance projects from initiation through completion - Design and implement tax form validation processes and procedures - Conduct complex CRS self-certification and beneficial ownership reviews - Handle exception cases and exception management - Develop jurisdiction-specific compliance procedures (for multi-country projects) - Review and validate work performed by Associates/Junior analysts - Ensure 99%+ accuracy standards across all deliverables - Manage client documentation and compliance workflows


Client Relationship Responsibilities (25% of time): - Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients - Communicate regulatory findings and remediation steps - Manage client expectations and project timelines - Escalate complex regulatory or operational issues - Prepare compliance summaries and regulatory reports for client sign-off - Conduct client meetings and status updates - Translate regulatory requirements into client-friendly communication


Project Management Responsibilities (15% of time): - Plan project timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables - Track project progress and identify risks/delays early - Manage daily team activities and performance - Prepare project status reports for management - Identify process improvements and efficiency gains - Coordinate with multiple stakeholders (clients, internal teams, regulators)


Regulatory & Technical Responsibilities (10% of time): - Stay current on FATCA/CRS regulatory changes and guidance - Research complex regulatory scenarios and provide technical guidance - Maintain expertise in multiple EU jurisdictions (Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, etc.) - Support process design and compliance system optimization - Contribute to team knowledge base and training materials


Required Qualifications

Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field - Professional accounting qualification (CA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred - OR equivalent 5+ years of relevant work experience

Experience: - Minimum 2-5 years of FATCA/CRS compliance experience - Demonstrated experience leading compliance projects or teams - Experience working with multiple EU jurisdictions or international clients - Knowledge of client documentation and beneficial ownership processes - Experience with regulatory compliance or financial crime prevention

Technical Skills: - Expert-level Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, VBA/macros) - Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for reporting - Proficient in compliance or banking software systems - Strong data management and analysis capabilities - Able to learn new compliance platforms quickly

Language Skills: - Fluent English (written and spoken) - MANDATORY - Knowledge of major European languages (German, French, Italian) a plus - Ability to work with international teams and clients

Regulatory & Professional Competencies: - Deep knowledge of FATCA and CRS regulatory frameworks - Understanding of EU GDPR, MiFID II, and AML/KYC requirements - Knowledge of beneficial ownership identification requirements - Familiarity with banking and insurance regulatory environments - Strong regulatory compliance mindset and professional standards


Preferred Qualifications

•         3-5 years of FATCA/CRS compliance experience (vs. minimum 2 years)

•         Experience leading teams or supervising junior staff

•         Previous experience with EU regulatory audits/examinations

•         Knowledge of German, French, or Italian compliance requirements

•         Experience with multiple banking systems and compliance platforms

•         Background in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Insurance

•         Professional certifications in Compliance, AML, or Regulatory Affairs

•         MBA or advanced professional degree


Typical Day / Weekly Tasks

Daily: - Manage 4-6 Associates’ work and quality review - Client communication (email, calls, meetings) - Project status tracking and reporting - Exception case review and decision-making - Regulatory research and guidance provision

Weekly: - Project planning and resource management meeting - Client status call and deliverable updates - Team meeting and performance review - Compliance report preparation - Process improvement analysis

Monthly: - Project completion and client sign-off - Regulatory submission and filing - Team performance review and training needs identification - Process documentation and procedure updates
