Key Responsibilities:Trend Forecasting: Studying fashion trends and predicting future styles to create appealing designs.Design & Sketching: Developing original concepts, sketching designs, and creating technical drawings (flats) for production, often using computer-aided design (CAD) programs.Material Selection: Choosing fabrics, colors, trims, and embellishments for each garment or accessory.Collaboration: Working with designers, pattern makers, seamstresses, and manufacturers to develop prototypes and ensure quality.Production Oversight: Managing the production process, from concept to final product, ensuring designs align with vision and standards.Presentation & Marketing: Presenting designs to creative directors, marketing them to retailers, and showcasing collections in fashion shows. Required Skills & Qualifications:Creativity and artistic vision.Strong understanding of sewing techniques, textiles, and garment construction.Ability to translate trends into commercial designs.Technical skills in CAD software.Excellent communication and teamwork.
