Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Noida. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop apparel collections, with a strong focus on sustainable and ethically produced designs aligned with GravityHouse’s brand and client needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching trends, creating mood boards, sketching designs, selecting textiles and trims, and developing detailed tech packs for sampling and production. The role involves collaborating closely with the sourcing, merchandising, and production teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, quality standards, and timely delivery. The Fashion Designer will attend fittings, refine patterns and silhouettes based on feedback, and maintain clear documentation for each collection and style.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion, including concept development, sketching, and collection building.
• Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, sustainability considerations, and appropriate material selection for different product types.
• Experience with Embroidery and surface ornamentation techniques, from concept through to production-ready artwork and specifications.
• Proficiency in Fitting, including understanding of sizing, drape, garment construction, and fit corrections in collaboration with pattern and sample teams.
• Proficiency in design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools) and experience preparing clear tech packs.
• Strong aesthetic sense, attention to detail, and the ability to translate trend research into commercially viable designs.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in fashion apparel.
• Understanding of sustainable and ethical design principles; prior experience in responsible product development is an advantage.
