Facility Maintenance Supervisor (Downtown)

NSG, Inc. is seeking a skilled, hands-on Facility Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at a large commercial office facility in downtown Cincinnati. The ideal candidate has strong trade skills, takes pride in quality work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.This is a leadership role for someone who's equally strong in technical maintenance and team development.

As the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring operational uptime, managing preventive and reactive maintenance across trades, overseeing vendors, and creating a collaborative, high-performing maintenance team.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
• Supervise and train technicians in technical tasks and admin processes (CMMS, invoicing, etc.)
• Assign and track work orders; document all work via CMMS
• Maintain and operate building automation, fire/life safety, and critical systems
• Perform inspections, identify maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Oversee vendor services, approve invoices, and monitor departmental budgets
• Develop SOPs, lead cross-training, and ensure team coverage at all times
• Participate in capital planning and long-term facility improvement strategies
• Respond to emergencies as needed - including after-hours
  
  

🛠️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in facility maintenance, with 2+ years in a supervisory role
• Strong technical expertise across trades: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
• Experience in 24/7 operations or mission-critical environments
• Proficient with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
• Skilled in managing vendors, budgets, and compliance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and team development abilities
• Familiar with OSHA, local codes, and fire/life safety systems
