Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fabric Executive with strong experience in fabric sourcing, inventory management, and WFX software. The candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end fabric procurement activities, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring timely fabric availability for production requirements.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to sourcing different types of fabrics, vendor management, cost negotiation, and inventory tracking through WFX. Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities Fabric Sourcing & Procurement

• Handle end-to-end fabric sourcing activities for ongoing and upcoming styles/orders.
• Source fabrics from domestic suppliers as per buyer requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with fabric vendors, mills, and suppliers.
• Conduct fabric cost negotiations and ensure competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with suppliers for fabric development, approvals, and bulk production.
• Follow up with vendors for timely deliveries and resolve sourcing-related issues.
  
  

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of fabric inventory, stock movement, and consumption.
• Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams for smooth fabric issuance and tracking.
• Prepare inventory reports and update management regularly.
• Ensure proper fabric allocation against production orders.
  
  

WFX Management

• Work extensively on WFX software for fabric sourcing, inventory tracking, order updates, and reporting.
• Update purchase orders, fabric status, approvals, and delivery schedules in the system.
• Generate MIS reports and maintain accurate data in WFX.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams through the WFX platform.
  
  

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with merchandising, production, QA, warehouse, and planning teams for fabric requirements.
• Ensure fabric availability as per production timelines.
• Communicate with vendors regarding approvals, deliveries, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
• Support management in resolving sourcing and inventory challenges.
  
  

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure fabrics meet buyer quality standards and specifications.
• Coordinate fabric inspections and testing when required.
• Monitor vendor performance and compliance with company standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of fabric sourcing and textile materials.
• Hands-on experience in WFX software.
• Good understanding of inventory management processes.
• Vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Strong coordination and follow-up abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
  
  

Educational Qualification

• Graduate/Diploma in Textile, Fashion, Apparel, or related field preferred.
  
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing and inventory management.
• Experience in garment/apparel/export house industry preferred.
• Candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.
