About the Company: Founded in 2005, Lufthansa Technik Services India (LTSI) is a fully owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) of Germany. Based in Bengaluru, our 500+ team delivers value-added services to Lufthansa Technik’s Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) spectrum for all common commercial aircraft types (Airbus, Boeing, Embraer). LTSI specializes in customer service, supply chain management, digital and engineering services, procurement, airfreight and financial services for the aviation industry.
About the Role: Your tasks and responsibilities include layover preparation for DLH, GEC & CLH by supplying required material for the scheduled layover and supporting DLH & GEC station around the globe in maintaining the stock quantity of the materials planned and required at the station for routine operations, support IATP pool & avoid AOG risks.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure requested Materials are available for the scheduled layover for DLH, GEC & CLH (Maintenance Event)
- Contact Material planner / buyer and expedite the Purchase Order
- Coordinate with relevant interfaces to support in performing Engineering order
- Proactively coordinate with production planning / Support & understand the importance of the material request, prioritize & handover it to AOG Service, if required
- Read m/techlog history for better understanding the problem or complaint raised by the Aircraft technician or by airline personal
- Support Material planner in troubleshooting the requested material which is not known to Lufthansa systems and assist in setting up the master data in SAP – by getting the right PNR related document like, IPC, CMM, CIM, etc
- Proactively coordinate with demand managers & trouble shooting department for clarification regarding the requested material / alternate material / for repair option if possible, etc
- Amend the PNR in production system with reference to documents or in coordination with trouble shooting / demand Manager
- Coordinate with Production Support, LTLS & relevant interfaces to make sure materials not lost during internal transit and it is available for the scheduled layover and also by accelerating the booking process, material stop at clarification & Quality Check
- Coordinate with planning department via phone call/ email to understand the requirement and take decision accordingly regarding the shipment of the material to the desired location
- Coordinate with interfaces to make sure materials are shipped to required destination via EIC or Special courier for the night stop event with a TAT of 01 Hour
- Ensure DLH & GEC station around the globe have minimum security stock as per the MSS (Planned Quantity)
- Support DLH & GEC station by supplying materials via eMax Anfo or Shipping Advice as per the requirement at the station & Assist the station Engineers in case any issue regarding return shipment or any other clarifications
- Support Station coordinator (T/CF 54L) & HAM Shelf Life Department by supplying Material and coordinate with station in returning the time expired material back to HUB as unserviceable on timely basis
- Proactively coordinate with the right interface for inventory corrections, if required
- Apart from the above-mentioned responsibilities, there will be special tasks & projects
Qualifications:
- Education in Engineering (Preferably Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) or BE/ BTech Aeronautical Engineering)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of job experience (Preferably Aviation) Aircraft maintenance / planning / material management / technical customer Service
- Knowledge specific to airline industry desirable (Material, spare parts, logistics, purchasing & Maintenance)
- Experience in Handling relevant / Multiple IT Infrastructure
- Experience in dealing with customer & supplier (Internal & External)
- Strong willingness to learn & undergo continuous training
- Ability to work under pressure & Good Team Player
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Excellent spoken & written English
- Excellent knowledge in MS Excel
- Ability to take decision autonomously
- Creative & innovative thinking
- High degree of customer orientation
