Role Purpose:
The Head of Technology Delivery is a senior leadership role within the Technology & Enterprise Operation COO Delivery Transformation, Intelligence & Innovation team, accountable for delivering major strategic change that contributes to a simpler, safer technology environment at NAB.
- Provide technical program leadership across large-scale, high-value initiatives with complex dependencies, significant investment, and extended delivery timeframes, operating across multiple lines of business and geographies.
- Accountable for end-to-end delivery of portfolios and programs, including delivery and financial governance, quality and controls, stakeholder engagement, resource management, and benefits realisation.
- Lead and coordinate global teams to deliver significant business and technology transformation, while providing direct and second-line people leadership, including capability, capacity, and talent management.
- Coach and develop leaders and teams, role-modelling Who We Are, PEAK, and Distinctive Leadership behaviours, and embedding a consistent, standardised delivery model through continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Delivery Excellence Team to build capability and drive a consistent, standardised delivery model across the group, driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure DTI&I adopts industry best practices and is continuously improving capability in delivery.
- Ensure timely resourcing of capacity needs, accurately matching technical skills and capabilities, aligned to overall priorities.
- Develop and lead a high performing team, ensuring teams are clear, capable and motivated.
- Facilitate delivery of the business outcomes to enable the program sponsor to realise return on investment.
- Championing and driving “one-way same way” across teams to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality.
- Leading the coordination and delivery of efficiency and productivity initiatives, coordinating cross-teams where applicable to achieve targets set by the COO LT.
- Demonstrates thought leadership by sharing insights, mentoring leaders, and embedding modern delivery and transformation practices across the organisation.

- Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance).

Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements
Essential capabilities
- Strong customer and stakeholder focus, driving urgency, outcomes, and effective change.
- Proven senior leadership capability, building and leading diverse, high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across the enterprise to deliver long-term strategic roadmaps with strong commercial acumen.
- Program and portfolio management expertise, including planning, budget, risk, and dependency management.
- Strategic, enterprise-wide thinking with a growth mindset Experience
- Minimum 15 years’ experience across professional services, financial and/or wealth services, large-scale operations, change, relationship management,
- and people leadership.
- Demonstrated experience leading high-performing, engaged, and diverse teams, with a strong customer-centric, inclusive, and empathetic leadership
- mindset.
- Proven practical experience shaping and executing strategy, from ideation through to delivery of measurable outcomes.
- Extensive use of structured program/project methodologies inclusive of Scaled agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Change Management and Technology delivery.
- Desirable: AI transformation experience.

- Strong risk management capability, with deep understanding of the financial services regulatory environment.

Qualification requirements
- Tertiary qualified in Technology, Computer Science or similar.
- Project management professional accreditation or working towards one.
- Agile certification
