Job Description
- The Senior Systems Analyst – Email/Exchange Services is responsible for the engineering, support, and optimization of enterprise messaging platforms, including Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, and SMTP relay services.
- This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and technical escalation point for complex email and messaging issues, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing communication services across the enterprise.
- The Senior Systems Analyst partners closely with the Lead to execute strategic initiatives, drive operational excellence, and support critical business and executive communication needs.

- Certificate lifecycle management
Advanced Support & Operations
- Provide Tier 2 support for enterprise messaging services, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
- Troubleshoot and resolve:
- Outlook connectivity and configuration issues
- Mailbox provisioning, maintenance, and licensing
- Email delivery and mail flow problems
- Distribution lists, application DLs, and shared mailboxes
- Conference room and equipment mailboxes
- SMTP routing and relay issues
- SMC provisioning creation and maintenance
- Support mailbox migrations, onboarding to Exchange Online, and hybrid configurations
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical production support
- Administer and maintain Exchange, Windows, and IIS environments
- Execute monthly patching cycles for Exchange SE, Windows, and IIS
- Support SMTP relay infrastructure for internal enterprise applications
- Assist with management of email routing across domains and IPs
- Maintain Arctera email archive platform and support retention processes
- Support implementation and configuration of messaging solutions, including:
- Exchange upgrades and migrations
- Cloud onboarding and hybrid email integrations
- Subsidiary integrations (email provisioning and address creation)
- Assist in execution of enterprise projects, including:
- Email relay modernization initiatives
- Product evaluations, POCs, and implementation activities
- Contribute to automation efforts using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency
- Support legal hold processes, mailbox maintenance, and eDiscovery activities in partnership with Legal and Compliance teams
- Assist in tracing, analyzing, and resolving email security incidents
- Ensure compliance with retention, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain secure configurations for messaging systems and services
- Assist with administration and support of Twilio SendGrid environment
- Support IIS configuration, patching, and certificate management
- Engage with vendors for troubleshooting, issue resolution, and service improvements
- Support vulnerability remediation and business continuity efforts
- Provide high-touch support for critical business users, including executive assistants and executive leadership workflows
- Support executive mailbox maintenance, migrations, and issue resolution
- Assist with handling sensitive email scenarios
- Monitor system performance, availability, and usage trends
- Support implementation in SQL database, azure roles, graph api and use of monitoring tools (e.g., ENOW)
- Identify and recommend improvements for system reliability, automation, and efficiency
- Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and best practices
