EverestDX - Platform Engineer - Enterprise Streaming & Messaging

Description Job Summary : Were seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Streaming & Messaging team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist with 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating high-throughput, low-latency event-driven architectures, with deep expertise in Confuent Kafka and other messaging platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, Pulsar, ActiveMQ, AWS Kinesis, etc.) Key Responsibilities Design, implementation, and govern of Kafka-based streaming platforms and other enterprise messaging solutions. Drive platform reliability, observability, and scalability through automation and best practices (e.g., Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, monitoring). Build reusable platform components and tooling to streamline onboarding and operations. Guide and mentor engineering team members, driving a culture of technical excellence. Own major incident response and continuous improvement for messaging and streaming services. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or messaging systems. Experience with Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud. Deep expertise with Kafka, including configuration, operations, performance tuning, and ecosystem (Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, MirrorMaker, etc. Experience with additional messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Pulsar, ActiveMQ, or cloud-native services like AWS MSK, Kinesis, or GCP Pub/Sub. Proficiency in modern infrastructure practices : Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc. Solid programming skills in Java, Python, or Go. Strong understanding of networking, security, and reliability principles in distributed environments. Additional Qualifications Exposure to Tibco, IBM MQ Azure and AWS certification (ref:hirist.tech)
