Event Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dynamic Event Coordinator to assist with planning, coordinating and hosting offsite social events for our large member base across India. Working under the Karma Curated Events Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to shape the premium experience landscape across cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and more. Experience in the members club and/or hospitality industries will be a strong advantage, along with an enthusiasm to learn on the job and grow within the company. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work under the Event Manager to coordinate and host off-site member events in major Indian cities and at Karma properties 
• Scouting and liaising with venues to plan unique, high-quality events 
• Think creatively to curate a large range of experiences: from social mixers and supper clubs to workshops, boat parties, VIP sporting and theatre events and beyond 
• Host events professionally, ensuring excellent member engagement and brand representation 
• Work with event budgets  
• Work with marketing team to promote events effectively 
• Provide post-event reporting 
• Communicate with members post-event in order to gain feedback

REQUIRED SKILLS

• At least 1 year’s experience in a similar field: events or hospitality, ideally in a members club or similar setting 
• Excellent English (speaking and written) 
• Able to travel domestically frequently (weekly) and work independently 
• Ability to work within a team both domestically and internationally 
• Fantastic social skills, confident in hosting and managing diverse groups 
• University or equivalent education in a field relevant to the role 
• Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the role
