Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced ETL Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in QuerySurge, SQL, and end-to-end data validation across complex data pipelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data flows, ensuring data accuracy, and developing automated data testing assets using QuerySurge and other QA tools. Requirements ETL / Data Validation Perform end-to-end ETL testing across multiple data sources, staging layers, data warehouses, and reporting systems Validate data transformations, business rules, and mappings from source to target Review and analyse ETL requirements, mapping documents, and architecture diagrams Design and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and reconciliation Conduct regression, functional, and integration testing of ETL workflows Identify data anomalies, mismatches, transformation gaps, and document defects QuerySurge Automation (Primary Responsibility) Build and maintain Query Surge scenarios, test suites, and data verification scripts Configure QuerySurge connections, drivers, test queries, and execution agents Develop automated data validation workflows and integrate them within CI/CD pipelines Troubleshoot QuerySurge agent issues, drivers, environment variables, and connectivity Analyse QuerySurge test results, generate defect summaries, and integrate outcomes with Jira, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc Implement QueryPairs and reusable automation components for scalable data testing Quality Engineering & Documentation Create test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices for ETL scenarios Collaborate with data engineers, developers, BAs, and architects to clarify transformation logic Provide detailed defect reports with SQL evidence, logs, screenshots, and expected vs actual results Participate in requirement walkthroughs, design reviews, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies CI/CD & Automation Integration (Preferred) Integrate Query Surge test suites with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools Use APIs, REST endpoints, or Query Surge CLI for automated test execution Contribute to improving automation coverage and enhancing data quality frameworks Required Skills & Experience 3-7 years of experience in ETL, Data Warehouse, or BI testing Strong hands-on expertise in QuerySurge?test suite creation, execution, debugging, agent configuration, and connectivity setup Strong SQL proficiency (joins, aggregations, window functions, complex queries) Experience testing data workflows built using tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, ADF, Snowflake Pipelines, etc Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) Familiarity with defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure Boards, QC) Understanding of data modelling concepts: Star Schema, SCDs, Fact/Dimension tables Strong analytical and communication skills for reporting data issues to engineering teams Life @ ProArch At ProArch, we believe our people are the key to our success.
