Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled ETL & Data Warehouse Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience in testing data warehouse and ETL applications. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in SQL, Unix, and ETL testing tools with hands-on experience in validating complex data transformation and migration processes.

This is a purely technical role with no functional or business analyst responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform ETL and Data Warehouse testing for enterprise data platforms.
Validate source-to-target data mapping, transformation logic, and data integrity.
Develop and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation.
Perform data quality checks, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.
Analyze ETL workflows, identify defects, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
Validate large volumes of data across multiple databases and environments.
Work on batch processing validation and scheduling verification.
Prepare test cases, test scenarios, defect reports, and test execution reports.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing.
Strong hands-on experience in:

SQL
Unix/Linux commands
Any ETL Testing Tool

Strong understanding of:

Data Warehousing concepts
ETL processes and workflows
Data validation techniques
Database testing

Experience in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
Good analytical and debugging skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to GCP Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of Application Insights / monitoring tools.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
