Enterprise Data Architect

We are seeking a Senior Lead Enterprise Data Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture (EA) team. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution, driving architecture standards across enterprise platforms and initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner with architects, engineering leaders, product teams, and business stakeholders to define strategies, reference models, and multi-year roadmaps—emphasizing data architecture, AI-driven ecosystems, APIs, and cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

Enterprise & Solution Architecture

• Define and evolve enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and reference models.
• Translate business capabilities into scalable, secure, and resilient architectures.
• Drive adoption of target-state architectures across cloud, APIs, AI, and event-driven systems.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding complex design decisions.

Data Architecture & Governance

• Lead enterprise data architecture (conceptual, logical, physical modeling).
• Define domain-driven architectures aligned with business capabilities.
• Establish data governance, metadata management, and lineage standards.
• Architect solutions for data warehouses, lakes, and Lakehouse platforms.
• Enable integration patterns (ETL, ELT, APIs, streaming).

Modern Architecture & Platforms

• Design cloud-native and distributed architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Implement microservices, DDD, API-led integration, and event-driven systems (Kafka).
• Contribute to AI-enabled architectures (GenAI, Agentic AI, MCP, Copilot Studio).
• Enhance developer productivity with tools like GitHub Copilot and Cursor AI.

Roadmaps & Governance

• Develop and maintain multi-year technology and data roadmaps.
• Support enterprise transformation initiatives with architecture guidance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver solution architectures and design artifacts.
• Stay current with industry trends, recommending practical innovations.

Required Qualifications

• 13–16+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in enterprise/solution architecture.
• Strong knowledge of EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
• Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proven skills in data architecture, modeling, integration, and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, AWS).
• Proficiency in microservices, API management, and event-driven systems.
• Strong grasp of NFRs: security, scalability, performance, resiliency, observability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to enterprise data management practices (governance, metadata, lineage).
• Experience in the Telecommunications domain.
• Familiarity with TM Forum frameworks (Open APIs, eTOM, SID).
• Understanding of telecom lifecycle domains (Quote-to-Order, Fulfillment, Assurance, Billing).
• Relevant certifications (TOGAF, Cloud Architect, Data Architecture).
