Enterprise Data Architect

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture Strategy & Future‑State Design

• Define future‑state architecture, principles, and platform strategy.
• Drive modernization, consolidation, and retirement of legacy technologies.
• Produce architecture roadmaps, position papers, and option analyses.

2. Data Architecture Leadership

• Define enterprise data architecture foundations and reference models.
• Govern data standards for privacy, residency, lineage, and analytics.
• Maintain lifecycle positioning for data platforms and tools.

3. Technology Catalog & Lifecycle Management

• Own the domain’s software/technology catalog.
• Define Invest / Hold / Disinvest decisions with clear rationale.
• Prevent technology sprawl and ensure alignment with standards.

4. Architecture Governance & Adoption

• Enforce architecture guardrails and standardization.
• Govern solution designs through EA forums.
• Manage exceptions and ensure consistent adoption across teams.

5. EA Capability Modernisation

• Provide architectural thought leadership.
• Track emerging technologies and guide pragmatic adoption.
• Use automation/AI to scale standards management and governance.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with Technology Owners, Application Teams, and governance bodies.
• Align platform roadmaps and ensure cross‑domain architectural coherence.
• Engage vendors and partners for solution evaluation.

Required Profile

• 15+ years in Enterprise/Domain/Solution Architecture within large, complex environments.
• Strong hands‑on engineering background (software, platform, DevOps, system admin).
• Expertise in Big Data, data platforms, ETL/Integration, cloud (AWS/Azure), and hybrid architectures.
• Deep understanding of security‑by‑design, regulatory compliance, and banking‑grade controls.
• Proven ability to influence architecture across multiple teams.
• Experience with Agile/DevOps, EA frameworks (TOGAF), and cloud certifications (preferred).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
