Enterprise AI Architect

We are looking for an experienced AI Architect (Automation) to lead the design, architecture, and governance of enterprise AI, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation solutions across the organization.

This role is ideal for a strategic technology leader who combines deep expertise in Enterprise Architecture, Microsoft Azure AI, Intelligent Automation, Cloud Architecture, and Generative AI. You will be responsible for defining enterprise AI reference architectures, establishing AI governance standards, architecting scalable automation platforms, and ensuring AI initiatives align with the organization's technology strategy and digital transformation roadmap.

Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, SAP, and Business teams, you will design secure, scalable, and future-ready AI solutions that leverage Microsoft Azure AI services, intelligent process automation, and modern cloud technologies while ensuring compliance with responsible AI principles and enterprise governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise AI Architecture

• Design and lead enterprise architecture for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation solutions.
• Define AI reference architectures, architecture standards, governance models, and best practices across the organization.
• Develop scalable, secure, and resilient AI solution architectures aligned with enterprise technology strategies.
• Produce architecture documentation including solution blueprints, integration diagrams, architecture principles, and technical standards.

Microsoft Azure AI & Cloud Architecture

• Architect enterprise AI solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure AI services including Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Studio, Cognitive Services, and related Azure technologies.
• Design cloud-native AI platforms that support scalability, high availability, security, and operational excellence.
• Define deployment strategies for AI applications, model serving, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

Intelligent Automation

• Architect enterprise automation solutions utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA), workflow orchestration, and AI-powered process automation platforms.
• Identify automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency and business productivity.
• Design intelligent workflows integrating AI capabilities into enterprise business processes.

Enterprise Integration & SAP

• Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure AI initiatives align with enterprise integration patterns and technology roadmaps.
• Design integration architectures connecting AI platforms with enterprise applications, APIs, cloud services, and data platforms.
• Where applicable, architect AI integrations with SAP technologies including SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, SAP S/4HANA, and enterprise process integrations.

AI Governance & Technology Strategy

• Establish AI governance frameworks covering Responsible AI, model lifecycle management, compliance, security, and data governance.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms, and vendors while providing recommendations for enterprise adoption.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure AI solutions comply with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering, data science, and platform teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into enterprise AI solutions.
• Mentor technical teams on AI architecture, cloud technologies, automation platforms, and solution design best practices.
• Act as the primary architectural advisor across AI and automation initiatives.

Required Experience

• Approximately 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
• Hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise AI solutions using Microsoft Azure AI services, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Studio, and Cognitive Services.
• Strong experience architecting Intelligent Automation solutions using RPA, workflow orchestration, or AI-powered automation platforms.
• Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar methodologies.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, cloud-native architectures within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of the AI/ML lifecycle including data pipelines, model deployment, MLOps, monitoring, and operational governance.
• Experience collaborating with Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Business teams.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application architectures.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience integrating AI platforms with SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, SAP S/4HANA, or other enterprise SAP technologies.
• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, and AI governance frameworks.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure AI Engineer Associate.
• TOGAF or other Enterprise Architecture certifications.
• Experience leading enterprise digital transformation initiatives involving AI, automation, and cloud modernization.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI principles, enterprise data governance, and regulatory compliance.
