Job Description

Instep is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Enrolment Consultant to join our Onboarding team on a 11-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

You’ll play a key role in supporting apprenticeship enrolments, ensuring candidates meet eligibility and compliance requirements, and delivering a smooth, high-quality onboarding experience for learners and employers.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting candidates and employers through the apprenticeship enrolment process
  • Assessing eligibility, including English and maths requirements
  • Managing compliance documentation (Apprenticeship Agreements, Training Plans, etc.)
  • Ensuring accurate data entry and reporting in onboarding systems
  • Applying ESFA funding rules to confirm programme acceptance
  • Delivering excellent customer service via phone, email, and digital channels
  • Acting as a safeguarding advocate, recognising, responding to, and reporting safeguarding concerns in line with policy and statutory guidance

 

What we’re looking for

  • Experience supporting funded learning or apprenticeship programmes
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail, and workload management
  • Confident communication skills with learners and colleagues
  • Experience using MIS systems (Aptem desirable) and Microsoft Office
  • Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent)

 

Bonus Scheme

Earn £10 per successfully processed apprentice start, paid monthly, based on compliance checks, ILR entry, and funding claims. Subject to completion of probationary period.
