Role Description This full-time remote role is for an English ⇄ Syrian Arabic Professional Linguist. The linguist will be responsible for accurately translating written content between English and Syrian Arabic, ensuring linguistic precision and cultural relevance. Daily tasks include transcribing audio and video materials, providing interpreting support in live or recorded settings, and reviewing language outputs for quality and consistency. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and technical teams, following project guidelines, and meeting deadlines across various media and content types.

Qualifications

• Strong translation skills between English and Syrian Arabic, with the ability to convey meaning, tone, and context accurately.
• Proficiency in transcription for English and Syrian Arabic audio and video content, maintaining clear and consistent formatting.
• Experience in simultaneous interpretation for live events, webinars, or broadcasts.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Syrian Arabic and excellent command of English.
• Previous experience as a professional linguist, preferably in media, localization, or technology-driven projects.
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with CAT tools or language technology platforms is an advantage.
• Relevant academic background in linguistics, translation, interpretation, or related fields is preferred.
