Position : Engineering Manager - Java
Exp : 8 to 10 Years
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
-> Lead and manage a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the software development lifecycle.
-> Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
-> Architect and design scalable and maintainable Java-based software solutions that meet business objectives and adhere to best practices.
-> Drive the development and implementation of complex Java applications, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.
-> Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
-> Manage and prioritize project deliverables, ensuring timely and successful completion of software development milestones.
-> Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve technical challenges and roadblocks, ensuring smooth project execution.
-> Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, frameworks, and technologies in Java development, and share knowledge with the team.
-> Implement and maintain development processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize team productivity and software quality.
-> Provide technical expertise and support, including troubleshooting and debugging, to resolve complex technical issues.
-> Mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional growth and skill development in Java programming and software engineering.
-> Collaborate with project managers to plan and estimate project timelines, allocate resources, and manage deliverables.
Ensure adherence to software development methodologies, quality assurance practices, and coding standards.
Qualifications:
-> Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
-> Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java software engineering.
-> Strong technical skills in Java programming language and related frameworks, such as Spring or Hibernate.
-> Proven experience in leading and managing a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
-> Extensive experience in designing and developing enterprise-level Java applications.
-> Proficiency in using development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, or NetBeans.
-> Familiarity with web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
-> Deep understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
-> Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to propose innovative technical solutions.
-> Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-> Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools.
-> Knowledge of database technologies and SQL.
-> Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS or Azure, is a plus.
-> Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
