Engineering Manager - Civil

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager – Industrial Projects / Head – Civil Engineering & Design Coordination to lead the Civil & Structural Engineering function across multiple industrial and infrastructure projects. This is a senior leadership role requiring extensive technical expertise, strong project management capabilities, and excellent stakeholder management skills. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Civil & Structural Engineering function across multiple industrial projects.
• Coordinate with external structural consultants and ensure timely delivery of quality engineering solutions.
• Review and technically verify structural calculations, drawings, BOQs, and design deliverables before submission to clients.
• Support architectural and engineering teams in planning, design coordination, and technical decision-making.
• Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Coordinate with PEB, MEP, geotechnical, and other engineering consultants for integrated project delivery.
• Resolve engineering queries during the design and construction stages.
• Drive value engineering, constructability reviews, and optimisation of civil and structural systems.
• Monitor project schedules, engineering milestones, and consultant performance.
• Establish engineering quality standards, review procedures, and documentation systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and strengthen engineering processes across the organisation.

Experience

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering with M.Tech in Structural Engineering (Preferred) or a strong Construction Management background.
• 18–25 years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or infrastructure projects.
• Preference will be given to retired Armed Forces engineering professionals (MES/Corps of Engineers/Navy/Air Force Engineering Services).

Desired Skills

• Strong understanding of industrial RCC, steel and PEB structures.
• Excellent capability in reviewing and validating consultant deliverables.
• Expertise in quantity estimation, BOQs and engineering documentation.
• Sound knowledge of IS Codes, NBC and industrial construction practices.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and client-facing roles.
