Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) as per project requirements
- Develop procedures for welding (WPS/PQR), heat treatment (PWHT), NDT, hydro/pneumatic testing, Draining & Drying, PMI, Ferrite, Storage & Preservation, Surface Preparation & Painting , pickling & passivation etc.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2, ASME Section IX, ISO 9001, and client specifications
- Interpret engineering drawings, codes, and technical documents
- Prepare and execute Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)
- Monitor stage inspections: raw material, fit-up, welding, NDT, PWHT, dimensional checks, and final inspection
- Maintain complete project documentation including Quality Dossiers / Manufacturing Record Books (MRB)
- Ensure material traceability and review of MTCs, NDT reports, and test certificates
- Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA
- Field specialization: Mechanical / Production
- Degree: Degree or Diploma
- NDT Level II (RT/UT/PT/MT)
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
- Industry: Fabrication
- Years of experience: 3 to 7 years
- Strong knowledge of ASME codes (Section VIII, IX) and ISO standards.
- Good understanding of welding, NDT, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
