Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with medical and surgical emergencies.
- Perform emergency procedures including airway management, intubation, CPR, central venous access, trauma stabilization, and advanced life support.
- Provide timely treatment for trauma, cardiac emergencies, stroke, poisoning, respiratory distress, and other critical conditions.
- Coordinate with specialists, ICU, OT, radiology, and laboratory departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise and support junior doctors, residents, and emergency nursing staff.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient records and treatment plans.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control measures, and patient safety standards.
- Participate in emergency response teams, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education programs.
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine (or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC)/State Medical Council.
- ACLS, ATLS, or BLS certification will be an added advantage.
- Strong clinical decision-making and emergency procedural skills.
- 5+ years of experience in an Emergency Department after specialization.
- Fresh postgraduates with Emergency Medicine specialization may also apply.
- Expertise in emergency and critical care management.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle high patient volumes and work rotational shifts.
- Commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practice.
