What we are looking for

Role: Elk Developer

Experience Range: 5 to 10 Years

Location: Chennai

Must Have:

• Strong hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana
• Solid understanding of Lucene, indexing, mappings, shards, and replicas
• Experience with log formats (JSON, Grok patterns, syslog)
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with REST APIs
• Knowledge of monitoring & observability concepts
• Good scripting skills (Shell, Python, or similar)
• Experience troubleshooting large‑scale distributed systems

Good to Have:

• Experience with Beats (Filebeat, Metricbeat, Auditbeat, Heartbeat)
• Exposure to OpenSearch
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP (especially OpenSearch/ELK services)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with security logging, SIEM use cases
• Basic knowledge of Kafka or message queues

Essential:

• Design, develop, and maintain ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) solutions
• Implement log ingestion pipelines from multiple sources (apps, servers, containers, cloud services)
• Build Kibana dashboards, visualizations, and alerts for monitoring and analysis
• Optimize Elasticsearch queries, indexing strategies, and cluster performance
• Manage ELK deployment, upgrades, and scaling in on‑prem or cloud environments
• Integrate ELK with APM, security, and monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot data ingestion, indexing, and performance issues
• Ensure high availability, data retention, and backup strategies
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and application teams
• Follow security best practices and access control policies

Minimum Qualification:

• 15 years of full-time education
• Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
