Perform Electrical Load/Demand Calculations and prepare detailed Electrical Load Schedules. ? Develop complete Electrical System Designs including Power Distribution, Lighting, Data, Fire Alarm, and CCTV. ? Prepare detailed installation drawings and ensure design accuracy and coordination with project teams. ? Conduct voltage drop and short circuit calculations using Excel. Equipment & System Expertise ? Specify and design electrical requirements for equipment such as Chillers, Pumps, AHUs, Fire Pumps, Lifts, etc. ? Design and specify Motor Control Centres (MCCs), motor starters, controllers, and variable frequency drives. ? Prepare Electrical Technical Specifications, Design Basis Reports, and Electrical Equipment Selection documents. ? Plan and dimension spaces required for electrical equipment installations. Compliance & Standards ? Ensure strict adherence to NBC, CPWD, and other applicable design guidelines. ? Knowledgeable in Government Schedule of Rates (DSR, HSR, etc.) for estimation and costing. ? Familiarity with lighting power density limits as per ASHRAE 90.1. ? Support projects pursuing sustainability certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, and IGBC. Project Coordination & Execution ? Prepare detailed Material Take-Offs (MTOs) for electrical systems ? Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs. ? Support site execution teams in resolving technical queries and ensuring installation quality. ? Assist in implementation and integration of Building Management System (BMS) requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills ? Proven design experience across sectors such as: o Museums, Libraries, Office Buildings, Retail/Malls, Healthcare, Hospitality, Residential ? Strong knowledge : o Electrical load forecasting and system sizing o Power, lighting, ELV, and life-safety systems o MCC design and equipment selection o BMS integration o Sustainability standards and energy-efficient design practices Software Proficiency ? MS Word ? Documentation & Specification Writing ? MS Excel ? Calculations, Schedules & Data Analysis ? MS PowerPoint ? Presentations & Reports ? AutoCAD ? Electrical layout and detailed design drawings ? DIALux ? Lighting calculations and simulation Preferred Qualifications ? Bachelor?s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field). ? Minimum 3?8 years of relevant experience in electrical design for building projects. ? Strong understanding of sustainable, energy-efficient building technologies. ? Excellent communication, documentation, and project coordination skills.
