Role Description The Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer – Design will be responsible for developing and reviewing plant electrical and instrumentation design documents, including single-line diagrams, cable schedules, fire alarm layout drawings, and control schematics. Day-to-day tasks include designing and specifying electrical and instrumentation equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. The role involves reviewing MCC panel designs, supporting design reviews, and support commissioning of fire alarms and MCC / PLC panels during project execution. The engineer will also participate in troubleshooting design issues, optimizing process control schemes, and supporting documentation for installation, testing, and commissioning. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Electrical Engineering skills, including understanding of power distribution, protection systems, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Candidates should possess solid Instrumentation and Process Control skills for selecting instruments, developing control philosophies, optimising PLC architecture and integrating control systems
• Candidates should possess practical Troubleshooting and Electricity fundamentals to diagnose design issues and ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and familiarity with applicable standards and codes.
• Beneficial qualifications include a degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related Engineering discipline, experience in industrial or process plants, strong documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
