Electrical Engineer -Buildings

• Role Overview: Electrical Engineer supports the design, documentation, and coordination of electrical systems for building projects. This role involves working under the guidance of senior engineers, assisting with technical calculations, preparing drawings, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the design and drafting of electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, and low voltage systems) for various building types.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings, layouts, and schedules using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Support senior engineers in performing technical calculations and preparing project documentation.
• Incorporate markups and design changes as directed by senior Engineer or Lead engineers.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure integrated solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant USA codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in building electrical systems.
• Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building services electrical design or a related field (internships or project experience is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NBC, IS, IEC).
• Proficiency in design and drafting software ( Revit required; AutoCAD, Dialux, AGi32 lighting design, Comcheck compliance, or similar is a plus).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Preferred Attributes
• Having hand an experience with North America buildings or data centre projects is an advantage.
• Exposure to sustainable design or green building concepts is an advantage.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital collaboration tools is a plus.
