An Electrical Design Engineer plans, develops, and tests electrical systems, components, and equipment, including circuit boards, power distribution, and control systems. They create technical drawings, simulations, and documentation, often using CAD software, to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC) in industries like automotive, manufacturing, or electronics.
Key Responsibilities and DutiesDesign & Modeling: Create detailed electrical schematics,, and, panel designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Eplan).Analysis & Simulation: Perform load calculations, simulations, and modeling to verify design performance and safety.Component Selection: Specify electrical components, materials, and equipment for systems.Testing & Validation: Develop, test, and troubleshoot electrical prototypes.Documentation: Maintain design documentation, technical specifications, and project reports.Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, manufacturing) to integrate systems.Compliance: Ensure all designs meet industry regulations, safety standards, and client requirements. Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical), circuit simulation tools (SPICE), and Microsoft Office.Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power systems, and electronic components.Soft Skills: Analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, project management, and communication skills.
