What role you will play in our team We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and resourceful EC Engineer to join ExxonMobil at our Bengaluru, India location. This role will play a key part in driving and managing complex business deliverables within the Upstream Engineering domain. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and EC specialists to enhance workflow performance from both scientific and software perspectives, while working as part of a global agile delivery team to ensure seamless execution and alignment across regions. Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka What you will do Understand the Basics of oil and gas industry Able to work independently and deliver complex configurations and data maintenance activities for supported applications Able to prioritize work using agile methodologies and understand the value/benefit to business Able to differentiate and explain to others on Oil and Gas process workflow and relationship - Facility Operations, Data Surveillance and Analytics, Allocations and Entitlements (Energy components) Apply foundational technical knowledge for supported applications Contribute with global IT service lines (e.g. Infrastructure, Database Administration) toresolve complex issues Actively engage with vendors for improvements opportunity About You Skills and Qualifications B.E/B.Tech in Computer science/Electronics/IT/Petroleum Eng or related courses 8?10 years of hands-on experience in Energy Components (EC) Production & Transport modules with strong upstream production knowledge. Deep understanding of upstream business processes ability to guide team members and influence business decisions. Strong customer engagement skills provide consultations, resolve application issues, and articulate value delivery opportunities. Expertise in deploying new production facilities and pipelines ensure accurate and reliable data for optimizing asset operations. Awareness of security and compliance requirements able to communicate and enforce controls effectively. Technical proficiency in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines with a focus on continuous learning and domain expansion. Preferred Qualifications/ Experience Participate in planning and presenting business solutions for new implementations and projects. Prepare technical documentation, user guides, disaster recovery plans, and functional design specifications. Conduct end-user training, knowledge sharing, and coaching within the team. Assess application gaps, collaborate with internal teams and vendors, and support technical solution delivery. Expertise in at least one Business Unit with broad knowledge of others, plus familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
