Position Summary

The Lecturer – Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence will contribute to teaching excellence, student engagement, curriculum delivery, and academic support within the School of Technology.

The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in IT and AI disciplines, facilitating practical and industry-relevant learning experiences, and supporting research and academic initiatives aligned with emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate IT and AI programs
• Facilitate learning through face-to-face, online, and blended modes
• Develop engaging, hands-on, and project-based learning experiences
• Support curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Integrate industry-relevant tools, technologies, and case studies into teaching
• Support assessment, moderation, and academic quality assurance processes
• Mentor and guide students in academic and career development
• Contribute to research, scholarly activities, and academic innovation
• Collaborate with faculty members on academic and industry projects
• Support internships, capstone projects, and experiential learning initiatives
• Participate in academic meetings, committees, and institutional activities
• Ensure compliance with academic policies and quality standards
  
  

Qualifications & Selection Criteria

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline from a recognised university
• Ph.D. completed or pursuing will be preferred
• Demonstrated teaching capability in IT and AI-related subjects
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends
• Experience in curriculum delivery, assessment, and student engagement
• Industry exposure or practical experience will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment
