Job description Position: Electronics UI/UX Engineer - Drone Location: Kolkata Experience: 3+ years in drone technology Education: Bachelor?s degree in Electronics Engineering (or related field) Job Summary We are looking for a UI/UX Engineer with a strong background in designing and developing institute, user-centric interfaces for drone systems and applications. The candidate will work closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to create seamless experiences for drone pilots, operators, and mission planners. Key responsibilities User Experience Design Design intuitive UIs for drone ground control stations, mission planning apps, and dashboards. Translate complex drone data (telemetry, flight status, video feed) into clear, actionable interfaces. Conduct user research and usability testing to improve workflows. Frontend Development Build responsive and interactive web/mobile applications using React, Angular, or Flutter. Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and real-time drone data streams. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-platform compatibility.. Collaboration & Innovation Work with engineers to ensure smooth hardware?software?UI integration. Collaborate with pilots/operators to understand needs and refine designs. Stay updated with emerging trends in UI/UX, AR/VR, and human-drone interactions. Requires Skills& Qualification Bachelor?s degree in Design, Computer Science, HCL, or related field. 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design & frontend development. Strong knowledge of QT Creator, Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or similar tools. Proficiency in HTML,CSS, JavaScript and modern frameworks. Understanding of real-time data visualization (charts, maps, video feeds). Experience in designing mobile-first and responsive applications. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with GIS/mapping systems or telemetry-based interfaces. Knowledge of AR/VR, 3D visualization, or human-machine interaction (HMI). Familiarity with drone control apps (QGroundControl, Mission Planner, etc.). Prior work in aviation, robotics, or IoT-based platforms.
