About the Role

We are looking for a Drilling Engineer – BSc (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on drilling operations, well engineering, and energy sector problem-solving.

In this role, you will work with AI-generated outputs related to drilling design, well planning, drilling fluids, safety procedures, and operational optimization, helping improve how AI models understand and solve real-world drilling engineering challenges.

You will collaborate with global AI and engineering teams to assess the technical accuracy, feasibility, and operational reliability of AI-generated solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance AI systems used for engineering analysis, operational planning, and industrial decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Create deliverables addressing common requests within your professional domain, including drilling workflows, operational planning, and engineering calculations
• Annotate and evaluate AI-generated responses related to drilling engineering concepts and applications
• Review peer-developed deliverables to enhance AI research quality and consistency
• Diagnose and solve real-world drilling and well engineering challenges to improve AI reasoning capabilities
• Assess AI outputs for technical accuracy, operational feasibility, and safety considerations
• Identify gaps, incorrect assumptions, or unsafe recommendations in AI-generated solutions and provide structured feedback
• Contribute domain expertise to improve AI models focused on drilling operations and energy systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Drilling Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of drilling operations, well planning, drilling fluids, and safety standards
• Familiarity with drilling equipment, field operations, and engineering workflows
• Ability to critically evaluate technical solutions, calculations, and operational recommendations
• Experience with industry tools, reports, or engineering documentation is preferred
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment
