Job Description

The Role
The Post holder will be responsible for the delivery of high quality customer oriented cleaning, within domestic services including patients personal clothing, Food and Beverage Service, Messenger Service and in-patient and community sites. The main purpose of this post is to provide professional management on a day-to-day operational basis with responsibility for the provision of a range of Facilities services within Domestic services at Gartnavel Campus and community areas.

The Role

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
- Location based in Gartnavel General Hospital
- Permanent Contract
- Full-time position (36 hours per week)
- Shift pattern for this post are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
- The post holder has responsibility for the day to day line management of the services team including performance management i.e. discipline, grievance, appraisal, sickness absence management.
- Statutory obligations, NQIS Standards, NHS Glasgow Policies and Procedures.
- The post holder has operational responsibility to ensure the continual development and delivery of training material.
- The post holder has operational responsibility to ensure the continual development and delivery of Service Provision Agreement Programme Domestic services ten step quality planner
- Assist in improving standards - NQIS Infection Control standards through Implementation of National Cleaning specification Implement requirements in all situations of development and refurbishment Scope the variances between existing and recommended frequencies across existing locations Develop local policy templates where required. Review induction process to ensure inclusion of infection control guidance and evidence of such

- Degree or equivalent plus substantial experience at relevant supervisory level.
- The post holder must have experience in staff management, including recruitment procedures, conflict and behavioural management, performance management, staff appraisals, problem solving and have the knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures and good practice relating to the management of Domestic Services.
- Demonstrate continued Professional Development
- Full UK Driving License to travel between sites
- H.N.C. Module
- Appropriate Professional / Technical qualification
- Proven track Record in the delivery of quality, value for money services
- Computer Literate.
