We are looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist.

Qualification: BE/B. Tech (Electrical \ Electronics\ Instrumentation\ Computer Science\ Information Technology) preferably Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Experience: 4-7 years of experience in the field of Technical Documentation.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Technical Writing expertise – knowledge of end-user documentation/product documentation/technical documentation/Video Documentation
• Proficiency in working with XML-based authoring tools and other graphics related tools
• Author and manage content using DITA and XML-based structured authoring tools. Ensure documentation complies with MSTP style guide and internal documentation standards
• Responsible for authoring tasks, creation, and integration of printed or electronic end user documentation, creating videos
• Working knowledge of any Content Management System which is based on single sourcing concept
• Planning and tracking status of project requirements, adhering to standard processes and ensuring on-time delivery of deliverables
• Understanding needs of the domain, end customers, and orienting operations towards meeting these needs
• Driving collaboration with stakeholders across all locations, conducting meetings, reporting status, ensuring partner satisfaction, and enabling best practice sharing
• Standardize content across platforms, media, and write supporting documents for products
• Must be focused on the result, process and quality oriented
• Strong technical writing skills for user guides, online help, and release notes

• Excellent technical writing, verbal, and written communication skills necessary
• Hands-on experience with DITA, XML, and structured authoring concepts
• Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
• Awareness of Content Management System and video making tools
• Knowledge of Software Development process and familiarity with Lean/Agile development is preferable
• Use diagrams, screenshots and charts that increase user’s understanding and product usability
• Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to negotiate and moderate with stakeholders from different groups
• Should be able to multi-task, managing multiple project activities, organizational responsibilities effectively and handle competing priorities independently
• Ability to work as Individual Contributor and take ownership
• Knowledge of Energy Automation / Energy Management domain is an added asset.
• Experience documenting electrical or electronic products.
