The role involves building and scaling backend systems, developing secure APIs, optimizing performance, and working closely with cross-functional teams. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities ? Develop and maintain backend services using Django and Django REST Framework. ? Design and implement secure and scalable REST APIs. ? Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL/MySQL. ? Implement caching, background tasks, and third-party integrations. ? Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and performance testing. ? Review code and guide interns/SDE-1 developers. ? Work with DevOps on CI/CD, monitoring, and deployments. ? Participate in architecture discussions and propose improvements. Required Qualifications ? 3+ years of experience with Python and Django. ? Strong understanding of Django ORM, serializers, views, middleware, and signals. ? Proficiency with DRF for API development. ? Strong database knowledge including query optimization. ? Experience writing scalable, test-driven code. ? Ability to debug and optimize backend systems. ? Exposure to AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda). ? Proficiency with Git and team-based workflows. Good to Have ? Experience with Redis, Celery, or Kafka. ? Understanding of Docker and container orchestration. ? Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). ? Experience with CI/CD pipelines. ? Background in Agile development. Education Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
