What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):
The Director, Wealth Management Operations provides strategic leadership for the Hyderabad-based Wealth Management function, ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and high-quality client service delivery in alignment with CIBC’s global priorities.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):
- Lead and manage the Wealth Management team, setting strategic direction, overseeing workflow and resource allocation, and driving operational excellence
- Develop and implement strategies for growth, client engagement, and continuous improvement in line with CIBC’s global Wealth Management objectives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management protocols; oversee audit readiness and the resolution of compliance issues
- Manage financial planning and budgeting for the Wealth Management unit
- Champion talent development, employee engagement, and succession planning to build a skilled and motivated team
Experience: 12+ years of experience
Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Operations Management or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- 12+ years of progressive experience in financial services, including significant leadership roles at a business unit or enterprise level
- Professional certifications in operations, risk management, or financial services preferred
- Deep expertise in wealth management operations, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and resources
- Advanced analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
