Director of Strategic Finance

LHH is partnered with a global professional services firm to identify a Director of Strategic Finance to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing enterprise-wide financial and operational strategy. Operating at the intersection of strategy and finance, this leader will design and drive high-impact initiatives that support sustainable growth, organizational effectiveness, and long-term value creation across the firm’s international platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and advance the firm’s long-range financial direction by identifying opportunities to scale, invest, and improve performance across international operations.
• Convert leadership priorities into executable plans grounded in rigorous financial analysis, clearly defined success measures, and expected business impact.
• Work in close collaboration with finance leadership and talent teams to assess strategic scenarios, evaluate workforce and structural implications, and bring growth initiatives to life.
• Own the delivery of enterprise-level strategic initiatives, guiding them from early concept through execution with clear timelines, financial oversight, and governance discipline.
• Orchestrate collaboration among diverse teams and regions to ensure complex initiatives move forward efficiently and deliver intended outcomes.
• Continuously assess business performance using a broad set of financial, operational, and market indicators, adjusting direction as conditions and results change.
• Lead highly sensitive efforts focused on organizational structure, operating models, and productivity improvements.
• Leverage analytics, external benchmarks, and market intelligence to recommend enhancements that strengthen operational effectiveness and financial results.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leaders, distilling complex analyses into clear insights that support confident decision-making.
• Create concise, high-impact materials for executive audiences that communicate strategy, financial trade-offs, and progress against objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial strategy, consulting, investment banking, FP&A, or comparable environments.
• Graduate-level business education strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a close partner to senior executives, including CFOs and other C-suite leaders.
• History of successfully leading complex initiatives that span functions, regions, and leadership levels.
• Advanced financial and analytical capabilities, including expertise in forecasting, modeling, and scenario evaluation.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Experience driving organizational change, improving processes, and redesigning operating models is highly desirable.
