Role Overview:


We are looking for a Director of 3D Engineering to lead and scale Ctruh’s next-generation 3D and real-time graphics platform. This role sits at the intersection of graphics engineering, platform architecture, and technical leadership.


You will define the technical vision for large-scale 3D systems, lead a team of senior graphics engineers, and architect platforms that power photorealistic 3D experiences, AR/VR capabilities, and scalable 3D asset pipelines.


This is a deep technical leadership role, not purely managerial. You will shape the rendering architecture, asset pipeline, and performance strategy behind experiences viewed by millions of users.


You will work closely with product, design, and leadership teams to transform ambitious visual ideas into high-performance, scalable 3D systems.


What You’ll Build:


1. 3D Platform & Rendering Architecture

• Define and architect Ctruh’s core 3D platform and rendering infrastructure

• Design scalable real-time rendering systems for web and AR environments

• Lead development of custom WebGL / WebGPU rendering pipelines

• Establish frameworks for photorealistic rendering (PBR, IBL, global illumination)

• Design material systems, shader libraries, and rendering modules

• Drive adoption of next-generation graphics technologies

• Architect cross-platform rendering across desktop, mobile, and XR devices


2. High-Performance Graphics Systems

• Ensure all 3D experiences achieve smooth performance and visual fidelity

• Lead engineering for 60fps rendering across device tiers

• Define GPU optimization strategies and rendering performance standards

• Implement scalable systems for:

  • LOD management
  • Instancing and batching
  • GPU memory optimization
  • Frustum and occlusion culling
  • Adaptive rendering pipelines

• Establish performance benchmarks and testing pipelines


3. Large-Scale 3D Asset Pipeline

• Architect the full 3D asset lifecycle

• Define systems for:

  • Asset ingestion and validation
  • Automated mesh optimization
  • Texture compression and streaming
  • Geometry processing pipelines
  • Progressive model loading

• Support formats such as:

  • glTF
  • USDZ
  • FBX
  • OBJ
  • Collada

• Build scalable pipelines for thousands of 3D assets and product variations


4. AR / WebXR Experiences

• Define Ctruh’s strategy for web-based immersive experiences

• Lead development of:

  • WebXR experiences in browsers
  • AR product placement systems
  • Real-world lighting integration
  • Environmental reflections and shadows
  • Cross-platform AR systems

• Enable seamless experiences across iOS, Android, and modern browsers


5. Graphics Team Leadership

• Build and lead a high-caliber graphics engineering team

• Hire and mentor senior WebGL, rendering, and graphics engineers

• Define engineering processes for graphics development and experimentation

• Establish internal standards for:

  • Rendering quality
  • Code architecture
  • Performance optimization
  • Shader development

• Create a culture of graphics craftsmanship and technical excellence


6. Research & Innovation

• Explore cutting-edge rendering technologies

• Drive R&D initiatives in:

  • Real-time ray tracing
  • WebGPU
  • Path tracing
  • Neural rendering
  • Photogrammetry
  • Procedural materials

• Evaluate emerging tools and techniques to keep Ctruh at the forefront of 3D graphics innovation

What We’re Looking For:


Must-Haves

• 7+ years of experience in graphics engineering or real-time rendering

• Proven experience building large-scale 3D platforms or engines

• Deep expertise in WebGL / OpenGL and real-time rendering pipelines

• Strong shader development experience (GLSL)

• Strong understanding of:


  • Physically Based Rendering (PBR)
  • BRDF models
  • GPU architecture and memory optimization
  • 3D math (vectors, matrices, quaternions)


• Strong background in performance-critical systems

• Experience architecting complex graphics platforms

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing senior engineering teams

• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills


Highly Desirable

• Experience with WebGPU

• Experience with Unity or Unreal internals

• Experience building 3D configurators or digital product visualization

• Background in advanced rendering research


• Knowledge of:

  • Ray tracing
  • Path tracing
  • Global illumination


• Experience with photogrammetry or 3D scanning pipelines

• Open-source contributions in graphics or rendering engines

• Experience building graphics infrastructure used at scale
