Job Description

The Director, Compensation & Incentive Programs provides strategic leadership for all compensation, incentive, and commission programs across the organization. This role sets the governance framework, ensures financial accuracy, and drives the design and optimization of variable pay programs that support organizational performance. The Director partners closely with the executive team to ensure compensation strategies are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business goals.

The Director, Compensation & Incentive Programs provides strategic leadership for all compensation, incentive, and commission programs across the organization. This role sets the governance framework, ensures financial accuracy, and drives the design and optimization of variable pay programs that support organizational performance. The Director partners closely with the executive team to ensure compensation strategies are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business goals.
Essential Functions And Tasks
Strategic Leadership & Program Design
- Lead the strategy, design, and governance of all compensation, incentive, and commission programs.
- Partner with executive leadership to align compensation philosophy with organizational goals and financial realities.
- Oversee the development of job architecture, salary structures, and compensation frameworks.
- Establish enterprise‑wide standards for compensation and incentive administration, including controls, documentation, and audit processes.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all payout calculations, financial reconciliations, and plan adherence.
- Lead cross‑functional governance committees with Finance, Client Success, and People Services.
- Deliver executive‑level reporting, dashboards, and presentations for the CFO, CEO, and Board‑level audiences.
- Provide insights on compensation competitiveness, incentive effectiveness, and financial impact.
- Guide annual compensation cycles, including merit, promotions, and bonus programs.
- Partner with Client Success leadership to ensure commission plans drive the right behaviors and reflect accurate performance data.
- Collaborate with Finance to forecast incentive liabilities, model plan changes, and support budgeting.
- Work with People Services to ensure consistent colleague communication and case resolution.
- Lead and develop a team responsible for compensation operations, incentive administration, and commission management.
- Build a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within Total Rewards.
- 8–10+ years in compensation, incentive design, finance, or total rewards.
- Experience leading compensation strategy and presenting to senior executives.
- Strong financial acumen and modeling capability.
- Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons .
- This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentiv e bon us in accordance with company policies .
