Position Overview

Alliance School of Management & Technology (ASMT) is seeking an accomplished academic leader to serve as the Director and Professor - ASMT.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership in academic excellence, research, innovation, and industry engagement, while fostering a future-ready ecosystem for management education.

The successful candidate should possess a strong academic background in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines, complemented by expertise in emerging technologies such as FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, ERP systems, Bloomberg terminals, and digital learning platforms.

The role demands proven experience in institution building, faculty leadership, accreditation, curriculum innovation, and corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership for all academic programmes offered at the campus.
• Lead curriculum development integrating Finance, Accounting, AI, Business Analytics and FinTech.
• Promote outcome-based education and innovative pedagogy.
• Ensure academic quality, regulatory compliance and continuous curriculum enhancement.
• Mentor faculty in teaching excellence, research and professional development.
• Drive interdisciplinary teaching, experiential learning and global academic collaborations.

Teaching, Research & Innovation

• Teach a limited number of credits/courses in FinTech and other emerging areas.
• Promote high-quality research publications in Scopus/ABDC/FT50 journals.
• Lead funded research projects and consultancy assignments.
• Establish research centres in emerging areas such as:

• Business Analytics & Data Science
• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in Management
• Digital Transformation & Platform Economy
• Sustainability, ESG & Climate Finance

Campus Administration

• Lead overall academic operations of the campus.
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with institutional objectives.
• Ensure effective utilization of academic infrastructure, laboratories and learning resources.
• Coordinate with central university offices for seamless academic delivery.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and operational excellence.

Industry Collaboration & Corporate Engagement

• Build strategic partnerships with:

Accreditation & Quality Assurance

• Lead institutional initiatives related to:

• Strengthen Assurance of Learning (AoL) practices.
• Ensure documentation, quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Student Success & Engagement

• Promote experiential and industry-integrated learning.
• Guide student innovation, entrepreneurship and incubation initiatives.
• Support career development, placements and global immersion opportunities.
• Foster student participation in competitions, hackathons and research activities.

Institutional Contributions

• Represent the University in academic, industry and international forums.
• Build collaborations with reputed universities and professional bodies.
• Support strategic initiatives assigned by University leadership.

Required Qualifications:

Essential

• Ph.D. in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Management or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
• Consistently strong academic record.
• Minimum 15 years of academic experience in higher education.
