Position Summary

The Solution Architect – Assurance designs end-to-end technology solutions supporting RSM's Assurance practice. This role combines microservice and API architecture expertise with deep knowledge of Camunda BPM to automate and orchestrate complex audit and assurance workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate Assurance business requirements into end-to-end solution designs spanning multiple platforms, including custom-built microservices and Digital Solutions SaaS tools.
• Design microservice and API architecture for Assurance-specific solutions; define coding standards, DDD boundaries, and event-driven patterns via Azure Service Bus.
• Architect and model process automation and orchestration solutions using Camunda BPM.
• Design BPMN workflows and DMN decision tables to digitize Assurance engagement processes and quality controls.
• Integrate Camunda process engines with Azure Service Bus, custom microservices, and Digital Solutions SaaS platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure non-functional requirements (security, scalability, resiliency) are met across the Assurance technology portfolio.
• Oversee React frontend and .NET/Python backend architecture for Assurance applications.
• Engage with Assurance practice leaders and risk management stakeholders to align technical designs with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Maintain architecture documentation, including BPMN process models, ADRs, and integration specifications.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 7 to 10 years of software engineering or architecture experience, with at least 3 years as a solution or application architect.
• Education - Bachelor's & above.
• Demonstrated experience designing microservices and event-driven architectures using Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with Camunda BPM Platform (modelling BPMN 2.0 workflows and DMN decision tables).
• Proficiency with React, .NET and/or Python for full-stack solution design.
• Experience integrating process engines with messaging platforms (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, and distributed systems patterns.
• Familiarity with professional services workflows, audit processes, or regulated industry technology is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technology conversations.
• Camunda Certified Engineer or equivalent BPM certification is preferred.
