Digital Identity Architect – OpenID - Federated Identity management - India - Remote

Our client, a major telecommunications provider, is looking for a Senior Digital Identity Architect to join its Digital Architecture team, working on the CIAM platform that powers authentication and identity data management across web, native app, chatbot and telephony channels. This role owns the solution design behind a central OpenID Connect IDP delivering Single Sign On and Single Logout across the Digital estate, working closely with product owners, engineers and business stakeholders on complex, high impact identity solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead solution design for new authentication and CIAM features, defining functional requirements and non functional requirements in collaboration with product owners, UX and engineering teams.

• Produce Rough Order of Magnitude estimates for new business demands based on documented high level requirements.

• Design federated identity solutions using OpenID Connect, SAML 2 and OAuth2 for Enterprise scale B2C and B2B use cases.

• Ensure all designs align with AWS or Azure Well Architected Framework principles across security, resiliency, scalability and maintainability.

• Support phased delivery planning, prioritising incremental releases that ship value quickly.

• Support Root Cause Analysis and solution options for complex issues in delivery and live service.

Key skills and experience:

• Extensive experience with Federated Identity management, including OpenID Connect, SAML 2, OAuth2 and related protocol standards.

• Proven track record designing and delivering federated identity solutions at Enterprise scale.

• Experience designing services on cloud platforms using microservice and micro frontend patterns.

• Strong knowledge of REST API standards and API design.

• Working knowledge of AWS or equivalent Well Architected Framework pillars.

• Ability to convey solution designs using UML or C4 modelling.

• Working knowledge of Agile delivery methods such as LEAN, Scrum or Kanban.

Telecom sector experience.

Desirable skills:

• Experience working within SAFe and Value Stream aligned delivery.

• Experience designing TM Forum compliant APIs.

• Working knowledge of event based architecture.

• Familiarity with .Net, Java, Node or React
