Dialysis technician

Prepare and operate hemodialysis machines according to physician prescriptions.

Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after dialysis sessions.

Ensure proper vascular access care (AV fistula, graft, or catheter).

Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols.

Respond promptly to dialysis-related emergencies and complications.

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dialysis machines and equipment after use.

Check and maintain the dialysis water treatment system to ensure quality standards.

Maintain accurate records of dialysis sessions, patient status, and machine maintenance.

Coordinate with nephrologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff for patient care.

Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures and post-dialysis care.

Report any technical issues or patient complications to senior staff immediately.

Assist in inventory management of dialysis consumables and supplies.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, biomedical waste management, and safety standards.

Participate in training programs and skill development sessions as required.

Experience in handling hemodialysis machines and patient monitoring preferred.

Knowledge of dialysis procedures and renal care principles.

Ability to monitor and record patients’ vital signs accurately.

Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols.

Familiarity with water treatment systems used in dialysis units.

Ability to recognize and respond to dialysis-related complications.

Good communication and patient counseling skills.

Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and nights.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Basic computer knowledge for documentation and reporting.

Teamwork and coordination skills to work with healthcare staff.
