Armor

Indian personal finance has crossed a "Complexity Event Horizon," where navigating thousands of mutual funds, insurance products, and changing tax laws has overwhelmed human cognition. Armor is building an AI-native family office for the mass affluent: a hedge fund grade quant engine layered with emotionally aware AI that starts by understanding the user. Powered by a deterministic Quantitative Reasoning Model (QRM), we automate complex trade-offs with mathematical precision. We are funded by South Park Commons (SPC). Our founders have worked together for 17 years building and scaling multiple businesses, including a hedge fund and a successful start-up exit.

Role

As our first DevSecOps Engineer, you will own the cloud infrastructure, network, and deployment pipelines that keep our quantitative engine secure and reliable. This is a hands-on builder role where you will also be co-opted into core software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud & Network Security: Manage and harden GCP resources, VPCs, DNS, SSL/TLS, and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs).
• Compliance & Trust: Partner with compliance certifiers like Scrut to log, and automate evidence collection for ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• App Deployments & CI/CD: Build, automate, and monitor secure Docker/Kubernetes container pipelines via GitHub Actions.
• Software Development: Spend ~30% of your time collaborating on the core codebase, implementing frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (Python/FastAPI) features, and writing custom automation scripts.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech. from a Tier 1 or 2 college
• Mandatory: Deep experience with GCP platform, compliance certifications like ISO 27001 and SOC2 audit prep. DO NOT APPLY without these.
• Mandatory Experience: 1-5 years in DevOps, Cloud Security in fintech/SaaS startup.
• Development Skills: Strong foundation in Computer Science DSA concepts. Hands-on experience in Python and/or Bash, and solid in OOP
• Ecosystem: Solid hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, SQL/NoSQL databases, and network firewalls.
• Bonus: Familiarity with secure architecture and compliance considerations in fintech.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document designs and procedures effectively.
