DevOps engineer responsibilities

• Introduce and oversee software development automation across cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure.
• Help develop, manage, and monitor continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA specialists, and other DevOps team members to ensure timely and successful delivery of new software releases.
• Contribute to code review and feedback.
• Recommend process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability.
• Support development and maintenance of CI/CD processes for application deployments.
• Monitoring system performance and administering servers
• Collaborating with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  
  

DevOps engineer skills

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure Devops, AWS Code Pipeline)
• Experience with Amazon AWS.
• Strong command of software-automation production systems (Jenkins and Selenium).
• Expertise in script languages (Shell, Python, Ruby).
• Proficiency in container frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes
• Wiling to learn and use of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible command line interfaces (CLI) for Microsoft Azure, and other cloud infrastructure platforms
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  
  

DevOps Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
• Proficient with Git and Git workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  
  

Having one or more of the following is a plus:

• 3 to 8 years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field
• Experience with engineering applications for large corporations
• Experience with containerization tools like Kubernetes and Docker basics
• Comfortable with tools like Ansible and Puppet
