DevOps Engineer – London

Rate: £405 per day | Outside IR35

Location: London – 2 days onsite

Start Date: ASAP (March)

Initial Duration: 6 months, with likely extensions

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a major API programme within a leading financial institution. This role will focus on setting standards for APIs across the bank and enabling the full API lifecycle, including publishing and consuming reusable APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, deployment, and management of reusable APIs across the bank.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a central API catalogue.
• Enable teams to publish, consume, and integrate APIs effectively.
• Provide guidance and technical expertise to the development team.
• Collaborate with team members working on React (UI), Java Spring Boot, and Python.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in DevOps practices and Python scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Previous experience in API development or integration projects.
• Ability to advise and guide teams on technical best practices.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams including front-end and back-end developers.
