DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps CI/CD Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience to lead our efforts in building and maintaining highly automated, scalable, and secure software delivery pipelines. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of DevOps principles, cloud infrastructure, and a passion for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: CI/CD Pipeline Management : Design, implement, and maintain robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines using tools like Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI. Automate build, test, and deployment processes to accelerate software releases while minimising manual intervention. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform or Azure Biceps. Ensure all infrastructure is version-controlled and reproducible across environments. Containerization & Orchestration : Architect and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them at scale with Kubernetes . Cloud Platform Expertise : Work proficiently with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or GCP), managing services related to compute, storage, networking, and security. Automation & Scripting : Write and maintain automation scripts in languages such as Python , Bash, or PowerShell to streamline routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. Monitoring & Logging : Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to ensure system reliability and performance. Security & Compliance (DevSecOps) : Integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline, automating vulnerability scans and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaboration & Mentorship : Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with development, QA, and operations teams to foster a DevOps culture. Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices. Troubleshooting : Lead incident response and conduct root cause analysis for production issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence. Required Qualifications Experience : Minimum of 6 years in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role, with a strong focus on CI/CD. Technical Skills : Expertise in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, OnPrem/Cloud Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform). Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash). Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with monitoring and logging tools. Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git. Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to lead and mentor. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with new technologies.
